The moment you step inside Añejo Don Mills, you’ll be transported to a traditional Mexican hacienda, thanks to the warm and inviting decor that features a mix of traditional Mexican elements and modern touches. Dimmed lights, solid wood furniture and soft benches: the indoor will make you feel like you’re in a cozy and intimate cocoon where you can relax and enjoy a great meal with friends (and lots of margaritas with a sign saying “In a relationship with Tequila” but you did not hear that from me)

But let’s talk about the real reason you’re here, the food. Añejo Don Mills offers a wide variety of traditional Mexican dishes made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. Guacamole, tapas, tacos… There is something for everyone, making it difficult to choose when it comes time to order.

I have personally tried their tacos and let me tell you, they are mouth-watering, the fillings like pulled pork, chicken, and beef, will make you want to try them all. My heart belongs to the chicken one: juicy, melting in the mouth and deliciously tasty. I can’t get over it! The guacamole is also a must-try, made fresh to order and served with a variety of toppings, it’s like a party in your mouth.

But the real star of the show is the cocktails, and more specifically their margaritas, they are amazing! They have a large selection of tequila, mezcal and other Mexican spirits, which they use to create an extensive menu of creative and delicious cocktails, with flavors like strawberry and lemon, you’ll feel like you’re on vacation (minus the sunburn). I took the strawberry margarita, and it was so different from what I am used to, but I truly loved it!

The service is friendly, attentive and will make you feel like a VIP. Note that they have what they call the halfy hour (between 3p.m. to 5p.m. and between 10p.m. to closing) when all margaritas are 6 dollars and tacos are 3 dollars!!
